Yea I was excited about them because I was told they would have c-load, and now it seems only E load or non-LT with less tread depth. Major let down.

At this point I have no idea why this tire is being discussed in this thread.

Can someone update the list with the possible options for a C rated off-road tire? Think the Kumho AT51 should be added to the list...

My truck will be my daily driver but want to maximize its ability off-road while maintaining its on road manners. Will also have a 2 inch lift or so.

    So far I'm debating between:

    BFG KO2 265/70/17
    Cooper AT3 275/70/17
    Kumho AT51 275/70/17

These are the only ones I've seen in the C rated option with these sizes.

Tread depth does not really correspond with "cheap". Most of the following non-LT tires are using quite advanced tread compounds which provide exceptional wear/wet/snow performances. The LT version of the WILDPEAK AT3W has deeper tread depth because the intended application of the tire is for high torque gasoline V8s and Diesels, but just so happens to give us Tacoma guys some extra off-road traction and great looks!

OE Goodyears on the TRD OR, 11/32nds. ($180ish on TireRack)
    Hankook ATM RF10s non-LT, 13/32nds
Toyo Open Country ATII non-LT, 13/32nds
    Cooper AT3s non-LT, 14/32nds
    Falken WILDPEAK AT32s non-LT, 14.5/32nds
    BFG KO2 LT only, 15/32nds
    Gen Grab AT2 non-LT, 16/32nds.

You will never see a Ford Explorer come off the line with a tire as aggressive looking as the Falken WILDPEAK AT3W...

Oh tis. I mean the older ones when Suvs and trucks had what we now know as at tires people rave about being hard core is what use to come stock. And why unless rock crawling would you run e loads on a tacoma. Guess cause it looks cool. Well I put my loved general at2 on my new tacoma love them. At Hatteras now aired down to 15 lbs. Btw low range through gears cause the new 3.5 does not have the low end. Was with 2 other 2nd gens that trucked. Thank gosh I did not have 50 lb tires on. No pun i did look at the wild peaks in non Ltd and lt. The lt was not bad but heavy. The non lt does not cut it. Btw. Old Explorer tires. Ha habbahahaaaa!Screenshot_2016-07-25-16-40-25.jpg

I picked up some 6ply cooper st maxx 255/75r17's and can't believe how smooth and quiet they are on the hwy for such an aggressive tire. They're loud as hell at slow speeds around town but who cares.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but the Goodyear Wrangler Authority comes in 265/75/16 in the "C". I think the last time I looked they had a 285/75/16 in store also that was a "C" as well, but I could be mistaken.

Any idea on the weight? Toyo's own website shows a 3lb difference between the black and the white outlined versions (who knew white paint was so heavy!)
