My order consisted of the kicker cs component system, cs 6 1/2 speakers for the rear, jbl 500 watt amp, fosgate wiring, kicker comp s loaded enclosure and sound deadening foam.

I'm going to piggy back off of this because I've too been considering this sub and want to see a picture on how it fits.

So how does it it sound? . Looks good . If you wanted you could carpet the back with cheap trunk carpet. I used plastic posterboard and glued it to board . Than glued board to back of truck. Kinds of cleans it up a bit . But then again no one is going to see it anyways .

It sounds great! I am planning on applying sound deadening to the back wall and then covering it with black carpet. I am also going to mount the amp to the back wall... just not sure how yet

the sub is great for filling up the lows.... but, it will not provide chest pounding bass. And as for your set up quoted above both are from the kicker yellow line and kicker yellow line products generally work together very well.

I picked up the sub and amp. Should I just remove the plastic bin on the passenger side or cut it to fit

I removed both the plastic bins... But, it is possible to trim the plastic to make the sub fit...

The comp one looks bigger than mine. Looks good though. Might up grade to the comp one latter.

check out the comp RT in the sealed box... it is smaller than the box i currently have and puts out much more tight thumping bass.

If you are looking for a little bump to fill in the low end there is nothing wrong with the powered slim subs.
I have had 3 in the past (in wranglers) for just that specific reason. And one on deck for behind my drivers seat I will install in a couple months.
I have also had separate systems but that is a horse of a different color.
    Comparing apples to oranges.

Nothing wrong with something like this for fill and a little bump
