Did you just go to town on that pinch weld or did you cut it a bit first into flaps then bash? Keep us updated on rubbing when you get out and flex!

Honestly, I am not sure what the big deal was. Maybe I will need to hammer it more, but it took all of 20 min once the tires were off. I used a Creasent wrench to pull it out toward the outside of the truck. Then used a hammer to push it all the way back. The bottom was the only piece that required really hammering it hard. For that I used a big hammer for and used a piece of steel to spread the impact.

I rub in a couple of spots.
    • Cab Mount (I will trim it a bit more)
    • Upper Control Arm (I'm on stock ones)
    • Frame (Not much you can do about this)

Took out 2" which I would say is on the lower side compared to most, but I can always cut more.

I've thought about putting my stock UCA's back on a few times because the dsm just add so much into it that I have to tell my alignment guy to set it at like 3.5* to get the same rear tire to body clearance as I did with the stock uca on in spec... Is there anything negative with running 4*+ of caster?

I am not sure what effect having that high of caster would have on your front end. Anytime alignment specs get far off, you will . I am kind of surprised that you need to crank it up that high to clear the 265s. Mine isn't anywhere near that with the 35's on. That seems kind of crazy that your UCA pushes your caster that far back.

Looks really good Peter. If 2" is all it takes than that's good. I took 2" out of my fronts last night. KM2's will be in this afternoon.

I dont need it per say to clear the 265's I just like the wheel centered in the well. I got the DSM's because they supposedly had the least caster built in. :notsure:

Sweet I can't wait to see your truck with 35's on it!

That would make sense, seeing as the lower the caster the further back it sits.

    Right!? It's still just plastic.

Haha! Honestly, the main reason I got it now, is because of how exposed my intake is without the liner in the wheelwell.

That's a great reason, helps a ton in dusty conditions as well. Pretty much same reason I did it. Nice security in water crossings but those are few and far between
