No "official" takers yet, but Dr. RabbitFurHead said he'll try to help out.

To my knowledge, this guy mainly makes Jeep bumpers, but got into Tacomas for business. I think he said that "Kevins" ArmorTeck or however you spell it is a "copy" of one he made. The one I ordered does not have the pieces going up over the bottom of the fenders....also, has D-ring receivers and under-mount LP mount....

My stock chrome bumper is 'like new" ;-)

just to clarify a few things.. Anthony and I did collaborate on my first bumper. basically at that point in time i didn't have access to a welder so i went to him with my bumper idea/design that i wanted and we put it together. that was several years ago long before i ever got into building bumpers myself. thats the reason he has a picture of my truck on his website, if you read the caption it even states that he built it to my specs. i also sold that bumper long before i started building myself.

both model bumpers that i produce are 100% my design. there was/is no "copying" of a bumper. i believe the bumper he is trying to get straighten out is a bolt on bumper that he was selling a long time ago and has lost the measurements to. if you were to see a picture of it and compare it to my bolt on bumper you would realize that they look nothing alike. about the closest they come to each other is that they are both a bolt on replacement bumper.

Yeah, and I have no idea about any of this history.

I heard he was making Tacoma bumpers on another forum about 2 years ago. What I am trying to buy is not pictured anywhere? He had some pics on ebay at one point....but it basically replaces your OE with a STOUT OE replacement.

It's not like the ones y'all are discussing.....it has a very tidy LP mount utilizing the original lights and doesn't interfere with OE tow hardware, no body cutting needed....etc

So....I'd assume he has more than 1 of these "unfinished" Tacoma bumpers....I'm sure someone else could cut a deal with him for one, since after he gets his "measurements", he can sell the others.

I'm not looking for a deal. He has my deposit. I would much rather have a new bumper, than get my money back :D
