    Hey guys,

How many of you regularly attend local dirt tracks in your area? I am lucky enough to have two in my area. Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway in Ohio. I have season tickets to Attica and I go to Fremont about once a month.

I grew up going to the race track since before I was a toddler. I grew up going to a 1/4 mile pavement track in mid Michigan. I did that until I was in my mid twenties when life started to take priority. I took a 10-12 year off from attending local tracks on a weekly basis. Finally about 7 years ago, I started attending weekly again. The tracks I attend now are mainly wing Sprint car tracks running 410 and 305 sprints. I look forward to it every week as it is my happy place. I get luck to be able to see the World of Outlaws twice a year and the All Star Circuit of Champions half a dozen times a year along with Ohio Sprint Speedweek.

    Whats your local track?

We have Millbridge out here, but sadly have not been yet. I used to work in NASCAR and my son races quarter midgets, so I think we need to add local dirt track races to our list of things to do. When I was a kid we went to Ventura Fairgrounds to watch the TQ races. Looking back, that's definitely where my love of motorsports began.

Our local track shut down ten years ago, I was totally lost on a Saturday night!
I watch whatever races I can find on tv, but it’s sure not the same thrill.

Nothing beats being there. The burning rubber, racing fuel smell, and the atmosphere. Unfortunately alot of tracks are going away.
