Local FS thread?

Other forums I'm on have a "local for sale thread" in their regional groups, so people can easily find what's for sale around them. Can we have one here?

Firstly, you need 50 posts to post something for sale.

Once you meet that, post up a for sale thread in B/S/T, link to your local regions BS thread.

And to counter your suggestion, much of the items for sale on this site are congregated to a few regions, such as SoCal/NorCal and the PNW. Breaking down for sale by region would be frivolous. Make more work for mods moving threads to the correct region. And most would be empty/lightly traveled. If you want by region, try Craigslist (not trying to be snobby).

 

I understand- I wasn't implying that a local FS thread would be a replacement for the current forums, just another place that people could post their item if they wanted to. Usually it's just one of the stickies at the top...

I wouldn’t think VA gets the traffic for it, but you could try.

However I would get some more posts under my belt first. Then they might take you more seriously.

I would pop into the local VA bs thread and ask their opinion on it.

I know in our MD thread, we get people posting items for sale. It’s not a “for sale” thread, but stuff does get sold through it.
