Will they do the weld on for you for a price or is there a place that will do it reasonably?

Yes if you get their sliders they can weld them on for you. This was my first mod to the truck. Avid weld on sliders.

Hit me up if you want to see a set of Avid weld ons in person.i live in Prescott Valley. My wife and I both have a set of Avid weld on sliders on our Tacomas. I don't remember what the install cost was but Brandon welded mine and my wife's on. He and @2ndGenJonny are cool cats. They really take care of local TW folks.

I'm in Prescott and built my own. PM me if you're interested in working something out and maybe I can build some for you.

I dontd have a bender though so I cut my ends at 45*.

This is the best pic I have right now. If you are interested I'll send you more pictures.

Ignore the front tire... Popped a bead on the trail.

Haha... The tire was fine. A hilift on the slider and some air in the tire while pulling the tire outward on the wheel seated it quickly. No worries. I was surprised that happened though. It was on the crown king trail just past the wash where the local miner blocked the road. I turned into a rock while attempting to climb it and pop. I thought I bent my wheel at first based on the horrible sound it made.

Do you have a 45 degree kick out on them as well?

There isn't a kickout. I didn't want the sliders to stick out more than necessary and I personally don't think a kickout is necessary. I have wheeled for a while and never thought I needed them.

I've wondered the same about the kick out. I would probably use it to get in the bed. What about fill plates? I think my kids feet might have some issues. They love my predator steps right now. I dont even use them though.

No fill plates either. I will eventually just put on some sticky grip sandpaper type tape.

My truck had the predator steps and I forgot to take them off the first time I went wheeling with this truck... The rest is history. I may try to make new step brackets and re-weld them if I ever get motivated to do it and sell them.
