Locating "speed sensor wire" for CarPlay stereo hookup ('01 XtraCab)

    They lock the settings and video function (if you have it) so you don't try and fiddle with it while the truck is moving. Anyway, super easy to bypass

    Trying to restore as much as possible to original condition.
    Thanks guys for the update. It was looking like the parking brake connection was not going to be all that easy to make. I think I will pick up one of those bypass jumpers just to be on the safe side. I don't want to have to rip the stereo out again.

    For a third gen, is there a way to bypass the VSS signal to the head unit so my CarPlay is unable to detect when I’m going over 5MPH? I’ve grounded these out before on other installs, but these were in older cars.
