Having a little trouble finding a clear answer; I have a '13 with the factory rear camera that projects onto the rearview mirror. I have a Pioneer AVH 4200NEX installed and I'd like to tap the camera connection to display it on the Pioneer.

Do I have a wiring harness in the factory radio wiring ready for this, or do I have to tap wires from the a-pillar or is there another location to tap the wires?

    thanks

Disregard, I figured it out. I tapped into the rearview camera + and - signal wires with an RCA cable and plugged it into the Pioneer and it works.

Glad you figured it out but question(s):

I thought the stock rear view camera was 6 volts vs. 12 volts. Did you have to put a voltage reducer or something to power it, or did it just work with the Pioneer?

Does this mean you have the video signal projecting on both the mirror AND the head unit? Or just the head unit now?

    Thanks. JR

No voltage supplied by the Pioneer head unit. I merely tapped the signal wire going from the camera to the rearview screen and fed it to the pioneer. Now both the rearview mirror screen and the pioneer screen come on at the same time.
