I have one its a great investment. My only gripe is that it doesnt fit my full size 1911 flat. My other pistols fit fine though.

I just got one of these yesterday. It a nice little unit, but it does take a little of your compartment's total volume, which would be expected. My Browning and GPS fit in nicely. There is room for additional valuables as well. It is not a good option if you need access to your weapon quickly, but it's secure and well-built.

Does anyone know if there is another maker of a similar product? Im about to buy one and cant find any competitors. Not that theres anything wrong with the console vault but just making sure that I look at all the options.

I believe they go for about $267-270 plus shipping from consolevault.com. They are about the same on Ebay too

Just to confirm, I also paid about $260 for mine. Got mine through Primarysafes.com but it's about the same price anywhere you check.

Does anyone know if the 2012 has the same centre console as the 2011? I want one of these but would be pissed if they changed something from year to year...I've already gotten hosed on fog lights (H10 to H11)..

I have looked at these as well but at $300 its a small lock box. Someone posted recently how they created a "false bottom compartment" below the carpet of the center console. He kept his gun there. Not lockable, but a cheap hidden compartment idea that may work for some...
