I have one in the front of a '95 Toyota solid axle crawler turning 38" swampers. So far so good. I bought it with it installed. Probably would not have been my choice, since the company recommends no larger then 35' tires. That said, it really works well. No problem turning the tires when not in 4x, and not too bad when it is. Since you wont be worried about driving in snow it should work large for you, and they're pretty cheap as far as "lockers" go. Good luck with your options!

Do not buy it ill give the pros and cons

Pros-- I've had this for 2 years on 33in Bfg still solid
    - locker disengages when your turning
    - nice for offroad cuz you don't have to flip a switch

Cons- it's always on when your on the gas
    - extra wear and tear on the tires
    - random disengaging and engaging thinking you broke something

Best advice save up for an arb locker way worth it. I wish I got that
    Don't go cheap on locker

Thanks for the info. I just never heard of them since yesterday and was wondering how they worked and it would take me awhile with the cost of college to afford arb totally outrageous price for a piece of metal.

Lock right locker and install cost around 500-600 bucks

And if you want still want to buy this locker look into (spartan locker) litterally copied the design of lock right but improved and its a lot stronger for the same price

Great thing about these lunch box lockers is that it only replaces the stock spider gear so install is some what easy

I wheel with a guy who has it on his Isuzu Trooper. Works alright most of the time, but it become unpredictable and dangerous in off-camber snow. His back end gets wiggly as hell.

first choice would be a ARB air locker, second choice would be a Detroit locker...

i have a ARB air locker in the front of my tacoma, works great and never any issues. i also have Detroit lockers front and rear installed in my crawler.
