Lock the door while warming up?

    My last few vehicles I was able to start the car, take the keyless remote outside of the vehicle, and lock it while it was running...

    Can't do it with my 2011 Taco. Is this something that can be "turned off"?

    ticking eng.mo,ventvisors,locking tailgate,wheelmasters ss spare tire inflation line,weathertech mats
    Have a spare unchipped key made(cheap),lock your door after you start it.Locking the driver door with the key locks all of them.

    You can do it if you have a remote starter, may not be the most economical solution but very handy!

    Yes you can, Same procedure as disabling door chime with key in ign. The link was provided in a thread I started about the door chime. Unpluging the wire shone in the link allows you to lock power door locks with the key in the ignition. Here is the link. :cool:

    i just remote start it :cool:...but b4 i had the alarm, i did make a non chipped key and locked it like that
