I bought mine for about $650. Fold a Cover G4 Elite. I'm really happy with it.

oops, didn't read your post correctly. in answer to your question, i think Fold-A-Cover is the cheapest as far as lockable (I assume you mean lock by Key). all others will range like almost $1000

if you have a soft cover, don't plan on putting anything in your bed either of value or not cause you are right, theives will cut it and take whatever is in there.

The question I pose is...why would the theif cut open your tonneau cover if they don't know whats in there? Its different than lets say cutting open a convertible top because they can see inside the vehicle and know something valueable is in there. Most thefts are theft of opportunity anyways.

Regardless of locking tonneau or not...its a good practice to not leave anything of value in your vehicle anyways. Don't give them a reason to be curious or break in and they won't.

I have a Roll n Lock on my taco. its pretty good. I really love it. its lockable and u have 4 positions u can choose when u open it. wide open, 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4. aside from close of course.
for theft... my motto is, out of sight, out of mind.

just be prepared to give up a foot of space tho and to cut the Bedliner if you have one. so u can fit the rails and the Roll box...the instructions will say so. and make sure to have chains to your holders (cant remember what u call it to tie down the cargo) in the upper corner.

the newer models tho for the newer trucks take up less space...

having said that. i wont give it up for anything. and i have a spare bed liner just in case i wanna sell the truck...

oh yea, i found mine on craigslist for 200 3 yrs ago.

    Good Luck!
