    :notsure:

I would disconnect the battery terminals put all the wiring back to stock reconnect the battery terminals and hope for the best.

Yeah Thats the next step , I’m thinking the trucks running back due to alternator or battery may just be bad timing ... as for e break and abs light I read online it could be the abs sensor that is attached to differential behind the locker

But windows and heat I don’t know ugh to much at once , could be a bad ground somewhere what I don’t understand is I had the relay working just fine until I installed the new locker only thing I did differently was spray the electronic connection with electrical cleaner before reconnecting

Yes sir I ordered the relay with diode off Etsy from this forum , this is very odd to me i been working on my truck for 8 years with no issues but this mod and rebuilding locker have been nothing but fail after fail oh man , this week I guess I will clean all my grounds replace battery and if I had to put male ends on the wires and put it back to normal ... if I put a battery and put a wire to pin 7 and 8 should it light up the relay so I can test if it’s still working ?

I know my battery has been failing so it’s time for a new battery I also read that if I have bad grounds anywhere it can absolutely do all kinds of weird issues so fingers crossed

When I was having issues with mine that’s exactly what I did. When it was back to stock everything worked fine so I KNEW it had to be the relay

I did this modification exactly as the instructions show. The install was relatively easy and straightforward but for whatever reason, now I can't get the locker to lock-in. Tried driving slowly, turning back and forth, in forward and reverse. The little green light in the relay lights up, power is applied to the appropriate terminals (I think) and everything looks good but to no avail. not sure what my next step should be. Any ideas?

Next step would be have someone hit the button while you lay underneath and listen to hear if the locker motor makes sound

    Welcome to T. World!

    I second this.

If no noise put back to stock and try again. If it works again then something is not right with the relay or your wiring. Mine sometimes takes a min to lock. Moving the wheel back and forth going backwards and forwards blah blah blah. Don't happen quick 90% of the time.

Good luck and let us know. All info is helpful!

No sound from the locker with relay. When relay is removed and wiring returned to stock, locker works just fine, both the indicator light and the locker locks up mechanically. I tripled checked the wiring and it's in accordance with the modification. Guess I'm back to stock condition (locker in 4LO only) but with a little more experience now.

I bought the flyback diode from the link in the instructions. It's the one that is supposed to prevent voltage spikes. It was listed on Etsy.com for $18.

Same. I think mine has failed causing my issues. Going back to stock as we speak to see what happens. I clicked the button and the locker doesn’t light up on the dash now. Used to work fine

I think your issue was a bad relay now. I believe mine has failed. My speedometer is also out, hvac cut out, etc.

I have a feeling you right. Return to stock.
If you would like for both of you I can snap a pic but I'm sure there is one in this thread somewhere already of the radio shack relay.

The relay is 3-party member of you will. Not part of the system and it's sensors

I used the 1 from radio shack and have had 0 problems as of yet.

Even though I have used a different relay it doesn't mean that I am not going to have problems later on down the line the relay could ultimately failed somewhere.
