@jsi Has anyone tried to make a splice harness to avoid cutting the original factory one? I'm gonna guess the female is the hard part to identify and source.

I tried finding the connectors, but struck out. If someone were to find a source it wouldn't be that hard to do.

Well, that looks interesting. Really interesting. I'll drop them a line and see if they have the female side too.

I buy the relays 40 at a time so buying 100 plugs isn't that big of a stretch. Wonder if a cut free version would sell?

I would certainly buy one! I have the relay and all the connections ready, but haven’t made any cuts yet..

We used this thread to complete my mod. :hattip:

We also deleted my entire 4wd ECU

I also installed a kill switch. With out the safety switch on, the mod does nothing. This way I am not scared to turn my fog lights on and off on the highway.

I have your cut version kit with flyback and have for at least a year or two now and I still haven't put it in from being busy and along with concern of contracting CFHS. (Chopped Factory Harness Syndrome)

So I would totally buy a cut-less version.

You see factory wiring contains a magical barrier put in place by Japanese Shinto monks to keep out gremlins, when that barrier is compromised it immediately attracts all electrical gremlins within a mile radius and those buggers are fast and almost impossible to see, you think your safe working on your truck, you checked all around but those guys can hide behind your ears and you'ed never know. They can smell virgin copper from over 3 miles accurately as you well know.

I haven't been able to set up a salt circle large enough or find enough sage to purify my work space when attempting to do this mod which is precisely why I haven't done it yet.

Definitely not because I'm scared or lazy.

Why would your fog lights have anything to do with your locker...?

    :eek::confused:

The buttons are directly beside each other. I have accidentally pushed the locker button when attempting to toggle my fog lights. It is not impossible to make this mistake.

Oh right that makes sense, yeah I got one of the locking hat switches for when I finally do it.

    LOCKERB.jpg

On my 1st gen I did the mod that allows you to engage it in 2wd and 4 high but still maintained the 10mph or slower safety check.

Wish that was a thing for the 2nd gen.

May still put a hidden glove box switch just incase on the rare occasion I let anyone else drive my truck (usually only when getting an alignment) I get a froggy porter who wants to flip my switches and play with my buttons.

At one place it was their policy to honk around corners and when pulling into a shop bay, the kid taking my truck back (slipped my clutch and squealed my tires obviously not a practiced stick shift driver) honked my horn and discovered I have Cadillac 4 note horns and two Hella Super tones and couldn't seem to keep is hands if it.

Bad news on the "No Cut" option. I can get the male end, but not the female. Both are needed, so dang!
