I never realized there was another company that made these things.

I have the 'Console Vault' made by Console Vault. I wonder how they compare in price?

One of the best things I've ever done to my truck. I wish I would've done it sooner. The reason why I bought this...was mainly because my truck got broken into and they stole some stuff out of my console. And now...that I CC, it's a great place to store when you can't carry it inside (work). I also love it for putting wallets /keys and things when you go hiking or kayaking, etc.

LockerDown is notably less costly, mainly because of a 10-15% discount available, and free 4-combo lock. Console Vault has a discount of only $10, and charges $35 extra for the 4-combo lock.

The 3-combo lock only has 1,000 combinations, and can be broken into in about 10 minutes. The 4-combo lock increases the combinations 10-fold to 10,000, and takes much longer to crack.

    Discount codes are available here:

If you have a Costco membership, you can order the ConsoleVault through them for a little cheaper than you would get it straight from them. That's where I ordered mine from.

I kept my label on, just in case I had a problem or needed help with the item, I know where to call.

Of course, I guess I could relocate the label inside the unit, and serve the same purpose.

Just installed my Console Vault in my new Tacoma Sport. What a great product. Love it. I can easily fit my Kimber 380 or Sig P938 9mm in it. Also my portable Garmin GPS and cord, a few tools, a flashlight, and some other junk (and extra ammo). It all fits. And LOCKS!!!!

I would love to post pictures of my Console Vault. My problem is that I have read the tutorial and have no idea how to do it. It's too complicated to understand. I wish there were step by step easy instructions for us old technically challenged guys.

Attachments are easiest to do. Just click "Upload a File" when replying, and browse to the file. It does the rest.

Just curious, how do these vaults attach to the console?

You have to remove the Console lid and hinges which is easy. There are 2- 5/16" bolts that fasten the console to the frame in the bottom of the console. After removing the 2 factory bolts, you drop the new console vault in and use two new supplied longer bolts and tighten them down good. It is very secure. it's real easy. I really like it. Highly recommend for locking up valuables.

How do I take pictures with my Iphone and put them on my PC to upload them? I only know how to use a digital camera with a memory card now.
