That's awesome guys LMAO! Yeah I'm iin the Marine Corps and that is a phrase we use a lot "Break it down Barney style".

So what i'm getting from this is that the OEM switch is just the button you push for the lockers by the steering wheel.

Are the coil contacts that is referenced on the back of that switch?

So I would need to run the wire from the ECU over to the Locker switch and then another one from the Locker switch to the wht/blk wire to be a ground?

Can't wait to lift this next month! For those who are going to ask its Rhino Lined with Tuff Grip. Hey somebodys got to do it...Why not me?

I don't have a locker, so I can't explain from experience with the mod. However, the two coils they are talking about are inside the relay. Most relays are SPST (single pole single throw). SPST relays have a single coil and a single switch inside the relay. The coil is connected to two terminals and the switch is connected to two terminals on the outside of the relay. When electrical current passes through the coil, it will activate the switch inside the relay. This allows a relatively low voltage and current to turn on/off a much higher voltage and current.

A DPDT (double pole, double throw) relay can have one or two coils inside, and will always have two switches inside. The principle is the same. When current passes through the coil(s), the switches are activated. A single coil DPDT will activate both switches at the same time, while a dual coil DPDT can be configured to activate both switches together or separately.

So....the two coil contacts they are talking about are the two terminals on the relay which connect to the coil inside.

I hope this has helped rather than add to any confusion. BTW, I dig the rhino lining. It makes it look like primer. Pretty unique.

No that clears a lot up. And after you said that i reread the article and at the top iy shows an actual pic of a relay and off to the side it says "The coil contacts are generally turned a different direction for ease of identification." So it was nice that I missed that part! Your info cleared everything up thanks.
As for the truck, once the lift is on I'll get it cleaned up and get some pics posted in a month or so. Then in July I should be up in Northern Idaho wheelin while i'm on vacation.
