Just did the "locker mod" today, everything worked perfect. Not only is it great that I can lock in 2wd for ease of drifting, but being able to off road with ABS disabled is a huge plus. I cant tell you how many times Ive been ripping the sand dunes and tried to stop only to have ABS kick in and pretty much disable my brakes.

I also put a switch inline between the ecu and the factory switch so my wife wont accidentally engage it and not notice.

If you offroad alot this is a great mod to do

Thanks for that... The ABS disable is an additonal reason I suppose! So you used the relay?

not sure of the details of the ABS mod, didn't even know there is one. I might look into this cause there are times I would like to disable abs but not be locked. The locker mod allows you to lock the rear diff in 2wd, 4 hi, and 4lo. From the factory you can only lock in 4lo.

On the 4wd TRD-Off Road (has the rear axle locker), the truck has to be in 4-Lo to activate the rear locker (locks both wheels so it's no longer an open differential). The locker mod makes it so the locker can be locked in 2wd, 4-Hi, or 4-Lo. ABS is also disabled in 4-Lo.

    s7racing,

Does the indicator lights tell you the truth?

When you engauge the locker 2wd are the locker indicator/ABS off lights on

when you are in 4 wheel high/ locker on are the 4wd/abs off/ locker on indicator lights on

when you are in 4 wheel low/ locker on are the 4lo /abs off/locker on indicator lights?

Hope that made sense to you. Not sure I understand what I am talking about.

Everything works as it would in 4 lo, except now it will work in 4hi/2wd.
So in 2wd when I push the locker, locker light comes on, abs lights comes on, and traction light comes on.
And yea the lights are telling the truth, abs is turned off, rear axle is locked and traction control is disabled. I took the truck out to the river bar to test it out just to confirm.

OP, what year is your truck? I didn't think the locker mod worked on trucks newer that 09. I thought I read the wiring is a little different.
