That would be good, When I ordered all my stuff from ECGS they said that the only option for now was the ARB, and that they bought almost all of the supply for the 8.75".

I'm fairly sure Eaton is available in the US. There's a vendor on ih8mud that advertises them for the US market and he suggested one for my Taco.

I don't think such a thing even exists... Pretty sure all the aftermarket options are air lockers or posi/limited type ones you don't manually actuate.

Which sucks because I'd love to do something like that!

Harrop is developing e lockers for first gens. They may already have some for this diff.

I'm totally saving my pennies now. I had no idea, you wouldn't believe how much I had googled and searched and come up empty handed!

Our trucks don't have 8.4's? Maybe I should read the thread.

    My understanding of it is:

    Automatic, EXCEPT TRDOR: 8.4
ALL Manual, TRDOR Auto: 8.75 (?) Something bigger.
    TRDOR only: Factory E-lockers

I could be wrong. Door stickers with diff codes are the final word.

Now I'm on the same page, I thought we were talking about 8.75's the whole time.

If we are talking 2016's, I think you might be wrong.

Harrop is the Eaton subsidiary that builds the factory TRD E lockers on the 3rd gen.

So why exactly are people looking to replace the factory e locker already? Does it suck that bad or something?

Mine seems to work just as well as other rear lockers I've had?

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
sure, if its worth $3k to you. id rather put that

this thread is all over the place... o_O

i mentioned looking for a limited slip diff like a true trac or posi. i have had a heavy duty eaton posi for a 12 bolt gm rear on a 70 A body back when i lived in colorado. it was my only car and was built full on & ground up. the posi had my rwd beast with a 468ci motor up front climbing up driveways behind awd's and 4x4's who were slipping while i wasn't because i had good tires and a posi. beyond the function, i love and strongly prefer the feel of driving them. i considered a true trac after reading a review but hadn't decided. i'm happy to hear @RedBeard1 mention it. i'd probably go for the posi. eaton does not currently list our diff on their product list unless i'm mistaken.
