I agree.... and repaired that one as well. I may try and source a new plug eventually.

Anyone happen to have a part number for the plug?

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Glad to hear you got it sorted.

I remember cutting those wires on the 4wd ecu back when my truck was a year old and had 10,000 miles. :goingcrazy: :sawzall:

@DaveInDenver is the connector expert. He'll be able to help you out with connector and pigtail part numbers.

Also, looking at the schematic, there are 2 limit switches and 1 of the 2 wires is always grounded. So, when the ECU didn't see a ground on either wire, it said, "Nope, not gonna do it."

Harness side connector (plastic housing part) is 90980-11194. The repair pigtails are 82998-12440.

But this is a cheaper option that should be interchangeable from the OEM for Toyota connectors:

BTW, if you get the generic replacement make sure to get one cavity plug, there's only 5 wires in the locker harness so you have to blank one.

Hello I am resurrecting a dead thread!

This worked for me first try! Was getting frustrated because everything had voltage etc. and then this simple fix made everything okay.

I drove up and down some dirt roads once I had it engaged and now when I try to engage the locker it is almost instant and I don't have to do this trick anymore.
