Stock as can be. 2nd owner, mild rust from Illinois owner. Frame is solid and plan on just getting a toolbox for the bed, black steel wheels and some 31x10.5R15
Are there any available for our 1st gens? I see them all over for 2nd gen and newer.

Years ago, a member made a prototype and tried to sell it for $200ish IIRC and there wasn’t any interest. Also, to install the lockable box, you must disassemble the center console.

The 4R locking glove box is sufficient (~$25 buck) or put in a car cable gun lock (~$40 buck).

    IMO
If idiot crackhead breaks in your vehicle
Instead of opening the console and taking your valuables in said console,
The ahole will just rip the entire console to shreds. Then you have to deal with both the truck console AND your stolen property

    my pos DD 01 Forester
    I rarely even lock it
Rather ahole NOT bust the window out to search to fund their habit

Of course, one look at my pos and $80k King Ranch F350 parked side by side…which one your going to steal from? lol

I rarely leave anything of value inside…well bc I’m poor
