locking differential

    K&N cold air intake, doug thorley headers, rear sensor simulator, flowmaster 40 series, magnecor plug wires, Royal Purple synthetic gear lube, airaid throttle body spacer, Hyperground system, flex-a-lite elec fan.
    This may have been covered already but I could not find it. If I made my locking differential so it worked in 2 wheel drive how fast can I go. It makes sense that there is no speed limit that would be dangerous to my differential. Any thoughts?. Anybody who has modded theirs and drove fast with it.
    I just thought it would be something nice to have for those couple times when your at a stoplight and the guy next to you in a ford ranger thinks he's got the better truck. Would this really help at all in a drag race anyway? I do have a stick so I can spin the tires real good (not sure how much the autos can, never owned an auto truck).

    It's not really clear to me that mod. Do we have to add a switch somewhere to turn it on/off besides the relay? Or is it always on? (locked):confused:

    IDK I looked on other forums and I think mine is different (1st gen) I just have to ground one of my wires aparently. It looks like 2nd gens have to buy some relay or something.

    I did the mod to mine with teh relay and it works great . Been to the track with it and running like 9.40 in the 1/8 with it . Ive done at least 90 with no problems . Only problem i had at the track is i still blew the tires away at the line after doing a burnout and then had nothing but wheel hop for like the first 60 ft or so . Thats cause im supercharged.

    monte1985 what track was that. I would like to try a few 1/4 mile runs but have no Idea where to go. How much of a difference do you notice off the line with your diff locked.

    Sorry man didn't realize you had the first gen. I think there is a way to do it but don't hold me to it.

    There is and its actually easier, no parts to buy just one wire to ground
