Has anybody gotten the master lock to work? I bought one but none of the points match up in my bed.

Yes, but I've since moved it. I did have to enlarge one of the holes.
It's now on my driver's side accessory rail.

That's rad! Sorry to be a pain but would you mind snapping a pic for me? Did you drill into the bed?

    Here ya go.

It’s bolted to two sliding accessory rail blocks. Keeps my spare from walking away

He's got a 6" lift. I'm sure his tires aren't anything close to stock size.

For the record, I lock my bikes up to the stock tie down points. I don't want to get crazy with locks, drilling, etc. If they want it bad enough, they will get it. I want minimal damage done to the truck as possible. I will take a cut D-ring vs some numbskull taking an angle grinder to the bed.

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
I used to lock stuff down to my bed stiffeners. Ended up locking down a cooler and other stuff with a chain and lock.

Since the bolt has a nut on the inside of the tail light area you wouldnt be able to remove the bolt from the bed stiffeners without removing the tail light and holding down the nut.

The rails are factory and are relocated due to the Bakflip cover. I bought the additional blocks off Amazon.

You said you had to widen holes or bore something out? Im too lazy to scroll back. What did you have to do exactly?
I had this lock on my chevy and ford trucks but there was nowhere to mount it on my taco. i saw soneone on TW had drilled 2 holes in his box to install. I decided fuck that.

I removed the factory, silver, tie down from the bedside. You can it's missing below the rail in my picture. The holes almost line up, so I widened one hole on the lock's mounting plate.
Two weeks later I installed the bedcover and could not access the lock's key hole so I moved the lock to the rail

I have this for my trek bike. Not really that much of an inconvenience once you mount it the first time. Never had an issue with anyone messing with it or trying to steal the bike since it locks shut and fits into the groove of your wheel mount on the bike.

I have that same Masterlock U-lock, looking to mount it to my bed as well. What specific blocks did you purchase off of Amazon? And does the Masterlock slide along the length of the rails? I'm not sure if I want it sliding back and forth, just want it secure to deter bike thieves.

    Bump, *ouch*!

Any other ideas here? I’ve been looking at that Master Lock but have yet to see a decent way of mounting it in a 2006 Taco. The rail mount looks like they could just bend the rail to remove it.
