Locking rear diff

    can you only lock the rear diff in 4 low? There are instances when 4 hi rear lock would be more appropriate. Thanks

    Yes. You can only lock rear diff in 4Lo. If you don't like it get an air locker

    Yes, it only works in 4-LO. There's a hack for the 1st & 2nd gens to make it available in 4-Hi (AKA the "grey wire mod"), but I'm not sure if it works on the 3rd gen or if a viable alternative has been found yet.
