Locking Rear Differential?

    Yeah, another guy and myself worked this out and posted it up on TTORA quite awhile ago. Glad to see it made it this way. I haven't tried it with my rear locker, but I may just pull the pin back out this weekend to test it.

    look in the for sale and trade section one member is selling their long travel 1997 with like 160000 on it for $6000 and im sure it has a lock and everything

    are you happy with your lockright for road use? i know it good off road but trying to find out if it a pain in the ass on the road or in a parking lot.

    Install a Detroit TruTrac rear diff,(under $500.00), difference is huge and driving on the road is unchanged (no extra wear on tires, no fishtailing ect...) Just have to remember to turn off your traction control if your using this for full benefit

    i have look at the detroit true trac and it a little more expensive than a power trax. i dont have traction control and im not to worried about fish tailing but i am looking for the maximum amount of traction. would funky tire wear really be an issue with a power trax lock right. i read that the only side effect when you turn sharply on the road is that you will hear some clicking from the gear working to let the inside tire spin slower in a turn or should i expect some screwed up wear on my tire if i install a power trax?

    If your truck is your everyday driver I would not go with a fixed locker. I would go with an air locker so you can engage and disengage. If you just off roading then a fixed locker is fine.

    alright ill see what i can come up with. mitch man has a powertrax no slip and he has said he has no issues with on the road. an air lock is expensive as hell. ill figure it out.
