So just got back from the store and I realized that the locking sound when I use my keyfob to lock the doors it no longer makes the beeping sound. Odly enough when I unlock my doors using the keyfob the beeping sound is there. I went through the radio setting and I do have the lock\unlock sounds turned on. Not really sure why this has stopped working. If anyone has had this issue before and knows of a fix it would be appreciated. Really don't want to go back to the dealership, we all know how they are. Thanks

Edit: I do have an after market autostart installed. It is the n2 designs 2016-2019 Toyota Tacoma plug &play remote start kit.

Edit#2: using the unlock feature by touching the driver side door handle unlocks the truck and makes the beeping sound.

Edit #3: added the remote start brand from the first edit.

Final edit hopefully: so I just locked my truck with the keyfob and it is now beeping like normal. Only thing I can think of as to why it wasn't working and is now was from the cold weather? Maybe?

Thanks for all the help. Hopefully I won't have to revisit this thread in the future.

I think holding down the lock/unlock buttons at the same time changes the settings

Had this once on a customers 19, it was corrosion in the left rear door harness. If its in warranty the complaint is valid, but they may dispute the remote starter.

I was having issue with mine too turns out that the handle was just dirty, Since I park on the street there's a lot of dust and dirt that covers the driver side and its enough to mess with the sensor i guess or at least seems like. Once I cleaned/wiped it down it was working no prob after that.
