    Funny timing to see this thread. I did a little mod yesterday on mine. These are not really "secure", but a good DETERRENT, and cost about $2. Also, if they ever come undone I guess they won't blow out while on the highway. I see it in the same light as the tailgate locks -- make it inconvenient for a thief who will move on to the next one.
