Stop drinking the koolaid. I loved the Cummins I had back in the day, but the EPA has killed the usefullness of diesels for the light duty stuff. High cost, highly complicated, poor fuel usage, HIGH repair costs, issues when used lightly regularly. Unless you're towing heavy fulltime, the cost-benefit isn't there.

The 6.4 has 410hp, my PW is rated for towing over 10k, will pull 14-15 mpg at 75-80, can fit 37s stock, and damn near follow a Jeep Rubicon. All the 3/4-1 tons with big V8s or V10s will pull/haul plenty (actually usually have higher payload because the engine is lighter) and are less expensive to operate.

So what you're saying is it's better to have one dodge motor that's running instead of having 2 that's not :boink:

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
So far I'm digging this truck. Mine is the mid trade one but with the UConnect Nav and sunroof. So far I am digging it. Lots of truck for the price.

Decals come off next week when it goes into the dealer for the undercoating and window tint. I was looking at the whole time knowing the stickers were coming off and they had to deep discount it because the stickers and grille... and then I made them take off the stickers for free.

I'll go swing over to that forum.

Mostly earlier 3rd gen info, but there's some 4th gen stuff sprinkled in.

    https://www.thurenfabrication.com/tech/tire-and-wheel-fitment.html
35s are easy, 37s with the right offset and plastic trimming.
I'm gonna pull the 35" trigger very soon, probably be a wash on fuel usage and maintain enough for towing and the hopeful future FWC camper.

Yeah, I wanted to get back in a 3/4 ton after the tree fell on the F-150. Won't do GM and the Ford was rough riding and hard to find just what I wanted. The nearest Ram dealer had base model 4x4s for 34k-ish (crewcab, cloth, backup camera in mirror, 3.0 radio, but no bluetooth); the next step was 37k-ish, but had the Ram-Box (neat, but not for me); then a couple PW Tradesman (cloth, 5" screen, camera/sensors, bluetooth, bed lights, etc); then it jumped up to the SLT type stuff for 42 and climbing. It was pretty easy at that point since all the others are on 18s or 20s with street tires versus everything about the PW.

For leaving it alone , I've done Husky Floor Mats, ham radio install with antenna fender mount, Inyati Bed Liner, Peragon tonneau cover, Synthetic winch rope, Baja Designs Squadron Sports in bumper, window tint and looking at 35s.

The other motor is a chevvie..

If OP had a 6BT or 4BT in the Burrito it would probably be running.

37s soon to be on the PW Coco?

Meh yeah I won't own a 6.7 that's not completely deleted. I've never been a fan of having a 3/4 or 1 ton truck with a gas engine. Towing with gas is no fun after towing with a diesel. Just my .02

It's better than towing with a standard cab 1500... 400+ on the torque is better than the diesels of yesteryear... for example my 6.2 has less torque and lots of guys still use them in the old GMs for towing heavy loads.

Yup, the rpm range is different of course. But hey, 99% of my driving is normal empty stuff. I will hope to hit the local trails on average of once a month. And getting across/around the Phoenix valley doesn't involve any real climbing and its 30-60 minutes. Then hopefully a trip a year to Moab (7-8 hours) and/or KOH-Johnson Valley (4-5 hours). I don't need a diesel to pull 5000 lbs that little. Nor listen to the clatter, do the maint, worry about fuel quality, etc.

I've had 2 diesel trucks and 2 diesel Jettas over the years, so I know the positives; but a lot of that has gone away.

    I got the mirrors!

Oh yeah, we saw a Dodge at the last Monday meet that had a stack that went up and thru the roof of the camper shell. We were surprised that there was no "Coal Rollin"!
