I’ll admit. I never used to torque anything until I joined TW.
Then, everyone here got me all “paranoid” about it.

I still barley torque shit after being here lol. I did a tire rotation like an hour ago, broke the torque wrench out and snapped a lug off. I wanted to go camping tomorrow morning too :bored:

@tonered got me on it because of the thought of uneven clamping on the rotor and potentially causing pulsating in the brake pedal.

I deleted my quote felt like I was being an ass. Broke it going on? That's a different story. I had a buddy with an Audi who broke multiple lugs turned out he was stepping on the wrench to get them off.

I can almost guarantee that my 1st Gen lugs were over torqued and uneven.
Never experienced an issue, maybe I was lucky. It seems like those that don’t know any better, get a way with stuff.

Once you know, and do it anyways, it comes back to bite you in the @$$.

I bet I’ve gotten my mower stuck more than once, In the same spot, after it’s rained.
Helpful tip of the day. Once the deck is on the ground, stop trying, it ain’t coming out on its own.

My buddy was "helping" with a torque stick. He may have laid into too long or something, idk. 80# stick and 85# wrench setting. I could It was yielded right when I put the wrench on it haha.

On my Accord, my lug wrench was a socket mig welded to a broken ratchet  . Stepping on it was how I did every lug lol.

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
The shock top plate to tower is 47 ft-lb but damn hard to fit a torque wrench in. Just finished my lift with everything torqued to FSM, also noted it did not call for thread locker on any of the bolts even though several I removed showed red on the threads.
