Yeah that's down the road, I don't see myself getting a winch while living in GA. But when I move out West I'll get it, but by then I can easily upgrade to 650# springs and do a rebuild of the shock

If you have any sort of reservations about it Id definitely take the wait time and go with 650s the cost is pretty close to the same Im pretty sure. Itll cost more in the long run if you decide to switch springs later on. And the more weight that gets added the more you'll have to preload the 600's.

    Valid point.....and see below

Also very valid....I have 600# springs now and my preload is ludicrous to say the least! but like you said if it's gonna be awhile before you make your rig a front heavy pig then nothing wrong with the wait to get 650s....makes total sense to me! I'm really just here cus you guys are truly awesome and the wisdom shared through this place is....well......priceless.....and the occasional time I bust out laughing at the funny shit that gets said!!!!!

I believe they come standard with 600# springs and you have to request 650 in the checkout where it asks the questions for spring rate, valving...etc. that's what I did. And they called this morning to verify that's what I wanted

Just curious, did you run 600# spring rate with just the steel bumper? I ordered kings a few weeks ago, and got an email today from DSM saying that it's going to be another 5 weeks out. But that's because of 650# won't be in until then. I was thinking 600# wouldn't be bad either with just having a relentless front bumper. And that would be only a week out. So, my question is, do you think I'll be good with 600# spring weight? Also, 4x4, v6, extended cab. Thanks

It'll be close, but if you don't have a winch or skids you may be alright for the time being. But if you add those you'll definitely want 650#

Ok, that's what DSM was saying. I am in no hurry, I'll wait the 5 weeks. Just wasn't sure what route I should go. Won't be getting a winch anytime soon, I do have skids though. And wasn't sure if 650# would be to much for what I have right now.

For those of you with a winch, does dual Batts or upgraded alt seem like a must do? Feel like my battery/alt are going to hate me. Ordered an adapter wiring harness for the gm cs-144...

I feel like with adding all the accessories plus a winch definitely warrants a dual battery set up/ upgraded alt....is it absolutely necessary, probably not. But let's say your in a situation where your stuck and need to shut the engine off and then winch out....that's when the insurance of the second battery will ease your mind :D

My 600s were doing ok with just my bumper, but they did settle quite a bit and ended up cranking them up prior to my added weight....now they are just struggling. Worth the wait.

Thanks, Robert! Somehow I missed that!

I'm still gonna try to pull a @Robmonster117 and reuse my flares, so we'll see how it goes. If I don't, I likely end up doing that trim instead!
