There are already holes there from the factory. A few more won’t hurt anything. Just have to seal them up properly.

The factory grill is pretty small. It might block a lot of the sound. I wish the grill was bigger. I’d like a 4” there if one would fit, but I just assumed it’d be too tight.

Maybe try it and let me know? If you can shoe horn it in there I’ll copy you!

Installed the Tom Woods one piece driveshaft yesterday. No vibes, feels pretty smooth so far.

If my rebuild fails, I'll go down that road.

I have u-joints and CB standing by, just waiting for the time to do the work.

Just about done. Need to finish the front feet on the cab rack tomorrow. The curve of the cab makes it so the feet all have to be different heights. Need sleep.

The plan is to have the side plates and all of the feet powder coated so it’ll blend in a little better.

Had it up to 85 yesterday and the ride was noticeably smoother. The original driveshaft must have been vibrating some on the freeway too and I thought it was just tire noise. So far it seems like $579 well spent.

I couldn’t find what I wanted for hardware to attach the cross bars to the feet and also to later attach accessories to the cross bars. So I made my own.

Done, with the exception of swapping out some of the hardware on the topper section. I took the wind deflector off. Not a fan of how it mounts. Maybe I’ll put some bro lights up there instead.

Making it yourself is time consuming. I saved about $600 over going with a prinsu, though. And had a lot of fun along the way.

The shark fin antenna sticks up a bit proud of the rack by about 1/2”. Im going to wait until I’m ready to sound deaden the ceiling and deal with modding the antenna then.

    Excellent weekend!

@Roostfactor made the trek to Houston to visit for a few days. He brought with him a lower intake manifold that he previously spent several hours porting and smoothing the runners.

We also ported some other related items. He went to work on the supercharger inlet where the throttle body mounts up as well as the ports where the supercharger meets the intake manifold.

While he was working on that, I went to work porting the URD 76mm throttle body adapter and the 7th injector plate.

After reassembly, we took the truck for a spin and the calibrated butt dyno definitely approves.

Saturday, we met up at @Torspd ‘s house with @Biscuits and @Lucario Runner for a mod day. Had some good conversation, modding, drinking and some tasty TorBurgers.

Tor finished up some work on his turbo build and I captured a little video of the first start.
