the rear view is pretty good. Can see the edge of one of the spokes, but it doesn’t block much. I could space it out a tiny bit more if needed. Here’s a clip from yesterday:



I do have an aftermarket front bumper, but it’s the stealth type and only replaces the center section.

It’s $99 on Amazon and there’s a $10 off coupon. I was expecting it to be kind of cheesy but I rolled the dice and was pleasantly surprised that it turned out to be pretty legit.

How long has the bike been sitting?

 

@Roostfactor would know the answer to that, but its very clean for a 22 year old bike. He went through it pretty thoroughly (with the same attention to detail he is known for) when he first got it and fixed a lot of stuff. I think it mainly just needs the carbs cleaned and a few other little bits and bobs to be road worthy. He totally hooked me up and I'm proud to be the new owner.

 

So an ultrasonic bath for the carbs may be a bit much then?

 

No idea. Is that how they do it at the Honda dealer?

How long did it take to get it to the end result?

I had the (disassembled) carbs in there for about 30 minutes total. Then I put all the misc parts in separately for about 20 minutes. Probably could’ve done it all at once but the ultrasonic cleaner is only so big.
