That isn't long at all. Other projects can be tackled easily, or a beverage had during the process.

Glad you went this route. It will be very handy for many a future project. Curious how well it runs with the carbs now??????

It starts reliably and accelerates smooth and strong.. It does have a little back pop on decel and a tiny bit at idle on occasion.

I need to order a carb synchronizer so I can get them synced up real good, but for now it’s running pretty great.

    Well then it worked superbly!

My truck has a decel pop too. Shot out a 2-3' flame the other night.

I haven’t been on here much lately. The Taco has been getting lots of rest because of its 2-wheeled stable mates.

The Shadow is still running like a champ, but I’ve been itching for something more comfortable and modern. I found this 2018 Goldwing still in the crate and well, now it is no longer in the crate :)

I’d be surprised if they still have C&C with the virus threat.

Definitely won't. My humor must have been lost. Lol.

Did you ever get that carb synchronizer?

Ha! I suppose that one flu right over my head. :D

I did get the synchronizer but haven’t messed with it yet. As you can probably imagine, I’ve been in full-on Goldwing mode lately!

So far, I swapped the rear shock links to lower it about 1.5”. Still can’t flat-foot both feet at the same time, but it makes stop lights and parking a lot nicer for my vertically-challenged self.

Great work on that dual fuel pump setup any chance you have a spare or would make a spare? Or have the dimensions documented?

Thanks. I only made one. I did not record the dimensions. I ordered a cheap OEM style fuel pump from Amazon and used those dimensions to start from.

☑️ I'm dropping mine in the next week. I'll take some dimensions of the stock one and the opening.

You mentioned years ago about wanting uTune working on Mac. Ever find a solution? Anything I want run on mine, I use VMWare fusion.

I cant find uTune anywhere to test though....

Utune does not work on mac. I have windows 10 installed on my Mac with boot camp and that’s how I used utune.

I don’t have utune anymore because I use hptuners now. No more UCON.

Damn, haven't posted here since COVID was in full swing!

I did a thing today. Not Tacoma related, but should make it a little more bearable to tinker in the garage. Came out looking very clean and professional. Used a later of Reflectix and an Insulfoam kit from Lowes.

Reflectix (qty 2, used a full roll plus a couple feet of a second roll. Will use the rest of the second roll on another project)
    https://www.lowes.com/pd/Reflectix-...ive-Roll-Insulation-48-in-W-x-25-ft-L/3011906

I just cut the Reflectix to the dimensions of each panel and laid them in there. No glue or anything. The Insulfoam panels hold the Reflectix against the door perfectly.

Insulfoam (qty 2 required for a double wide door like mine)
    https://www.lowes.com/pd/Insulfoam-...ne-Garage-Door-Foam-Board-Insulation/50244957

The Insulfoam kit comes with 8 pieces that are 20.25" x 54". Each panel on the garage door is 20.25" tall and the widths vary slightly. So you just cut down the 54" panels to down fit what widths you need. In my case it was between 46" to 48" depending on which column. Each panel on the door has at least 3 sides that have lips on them. To get the foam panels in, there are corrugations in the back side of the foam that allow you to bend the panels to get them in there and then they spring back to shape once in. The lips of the door hold them in. With the Reflectix behind there it is a nice fit without any play. The side of the panel that faces out (the part you see once it is installed) has a nice glossy backing that looks pretty professional.

I compared a bare door panel vs a Reflectix + Insulfoam panel and could tell a huge difference in temperature to the touch. The garage doesn't feel nearly as hot. Might be time for a mini-split!
