That's what I was looking at. It seems like the rail for the cover would be pushed inward and lifted up using either of the racks I mentioned. It would either leak or the cover not be able to latch depending on how much it moves. Or the brackets for the cover would be out of alignment and not able to be tightened down.

Same here. A little more than I can afford. I looked at the Bakflip but I don't like the idea of having to drill into the bed for drain holes.

I wonder what would happen if you notched the lip of the rail where you would place the uprights with the rail having only 3 brackets attached to the truck. I came across another post in this subforum where someone had done something similar with a different brand tonneau.

I just really like the low-profile design of this cover and don't want to carry bikes on a hitch rack. :annoyed:

I am sure with some mods you can do it but also the gasket all around is lo profile and might need some cutting. If not might have to bolt to the box railing outside the cover.

Two questions from a Taco newbie
    1. Is there any kind of strap that would secure it when folded up so you could drive with it folded up?
    2. Is there a weight limit for putting things on top of the cover?

Thanks for the awesome forum, I've learned a lot reading through the posts!

2 Extruded aluminum channels support the panels to hold up to 400 pounds of evenly distributed weight, while weighing approximately 50 pounds for a high strength-to-weight ratio.

Do any of you have the Lomax AND a bed extender (OEM or AMP)? Any fitment issues with the combo? GotExhaust has a helluva deal going and I'm about to pull the trigger.

Had some issues with the shipping company, got here with a torn seal, and missing hardware. @GotExhaust was quick to have an entire replacement hardware kit, and seal replacement kit sent out. Seal was a PITA to replace, but better then having to ship the thing back. Got it installed tonight. Looks fantastic! I love it. I'd definitely recommend.
