Would one of you guys be interested in sharing some pictures of how this cover attaches? What do the rails look like, and how do they attach? Thank you for the write-up.

Can't do pictures right now but if you google it, pics and videos show the rails. The version for tacomas comes with brackets that attach to the factory channel rails. Each panel has hooks that catch on tabs sticking out of the rails as each panel closes.

Looks great! Is it secure? Can it be locked? How is it with water? Any leaks?

Pretty secure. Seals up tight. No lock on the cover, but secure if your tailgate is locked. Open tailgate, then pull latch cord to open. Aluminium panels are reinforced underneath by tube frame for support. Pretty water tight, but you will have to seal the left and right corners of the bed header rail. Common issue with most covers for the 3rd gen tacomas. There is a gap on both sides of the factory header rail (why???) There are some previous threads on here about different ways to fill/seal the gap.

None yet, but I'm hoping I can get some advice. It will be my daily driver, but also want it to be a capable over lander. Need help on which steps to do first, and how to do it in order that makes the most sense.
    Hey guys,
Maybe you already said this, but need to ask.
Can you put a rack on this? Like the slotted base to put cross rails on.
This looks tight, but I need one to put a rack on to carry a tent topper and some gear.
    Thanks

As a followup, I ordered a Lomax from Luke (Lucas Kyle) @ truckalterations.com. Really great price and arrived barely over 24 hrs after order, Amazing.

Looks great and the mounting system is, IMHO, way better than BakFlip – I don’t have to lose the front bed rail (which I have Yakima bike mounts on) loose access to the side rails, or deal with stupid drain tubes. It is very easy to completely remove and reinstall - my main criteria and why I picked this one over a Diamondback SE.

Very interested. Does it fold up flat against the cab like the back mx4?

From what I found on the internet, I don't believe so. For full bed access the cover needs to be completely removed which doesn't take but a minute or so.

Shout out to Lucas Kyle at Truck Alterations for his excellent service. Ordered on Tue morning and was at my door Wed afternoon.

At $675 shipped, this was an excellent buy. The reason why I bought this over the MX4 was how sleek it looks. No bulky seams around each panel.

That's correct. Panels fold back, and lay on the first panel. Removal takes less than a minute. Just pull two cords, lift, pull and its out. Very simple.

I also ordered the Lomax from Luke (Lucas Kyle) @ truckalterations.com. Placed the order on Friday and it was at the house today. Just installed it and very impressed so far with quality. The install was straightforward with no issues. This is the third tonneau cover I have ordered from truck alterations and everyone has been a positive experience.

Ordered on Tuesday 8/13 and came on Saturday 8/17. Shipped out of the Midwest to California, so reasonable and quick shipping.

Installed in under an hour, and was all set to go.
Got fast email and responses from Luke. For the price shipped, I think it is the best deal out there :).

I drove thru 3 hours of rain, at times very hard, and not a drop of water in the bed! None that would have been obvious anyhow.
No regrets on getting this cover after using it for two months now.

Add me to the list of happy customers. Fed-Ex delivered a day early too. Took me 45mins to install from start to finish.

Just got mine in the mail and installing. Did your guys tonneau come with a weather seal? The instructions dictate a weather seal install, but I’m not seeing one in the box. Help?
