Lomax Hard Tri Fold Tonneau

Did you get this mounted up? Would love to see a finished pic with he cover down. Is that bracket going over the Lomax rail when you install or under? I am trying figure out which tonneau I want to go with my Voodoo rack.

 

This is the “finished” product, still a few tweaks I want to do but the basic design is there, I used .063 Aluminum to bend the bracket but would probably go with .090 if I did it again there is a little flex in it at the moment, will be fine with the Gazelle tent strapped down though.

The bracket goes over the Lomax rail, to go under I would have to trim the rail and I wasn’t keen on “modifying” a brand new cover like that!

@PBDaddy, and others with the Lomax Stance, I’d sure appreciate some photos of the cover installed… I’m particularly interested in seeing how it connects up front so I can figure out how easy it might be to remove and reattach.

I’m also not interested in adhering the cover holder brackets to the roof… I’m wondering if the cover will go all the way back against the truck?

I was watching some review videos of the Lomax cover and one guy mentioned how one of the seams started coming apart after a year and letting water in. Anyone else have similar durability issues?

 

No issues with mine and I've had it on for 3 years. I do once or twice a year put 303 Aero on the rubber seams to protect from the triple digit heat in SoCal.

Yeah that’s something I’m worried about here in Texas. Do you have the matte or the urethane?

 

That’s good information. Is there an appearance difference? It’s hard to tell from pictures I’ve seen. Also, is there a price difference? Thanks.

Nice! Looks really good. I think my rack is 3/16 steel probably wouldn't work the same. Is your first pic of the bracket before the cover was on how the bracket sits with the cover on or did you bend it more?

 

There a little appearance difference. Matte is almost a dark gray with no gloss and a little finer texture. Urethane has a bit more gloss and texture. We do sell the Urethane 2-1 again matte these days.

 

that’s how the bracket sits, just an easy 2 90 degree bends, then some spacers between the bed rail and bracket to fill the space

Huge thanks to @truckalter! Ordered my cover on Thursday and got it on Friday, definitely didn’t expect overnight delivery.

I installed it today and took about an hour, definitely don’t recommend doing it in 105 degree weather like I did lol. Everything was hot but I’m so happy with how it looks. I was looking at the Rough Country cover that would have been a bit cheaper but I really like how low profile this one is and the fact that you can still use the rails and tie downs is worth it to me.

 

Just got mine today too. @truckalter is awesome to work with. Ordered Thursday and got it today. Easy assembly and an awesome cover. Will post pics when sun comes up again.
