    IMG_1601.jpg Question about install. There is a length of U-shaped weatherstripping for the front rail in my kit. I don't see that installed on any of the photos in the first 30 pages of this thread. I already installed it, but it doesn't look like it belongs on the Tacoma. Was this for another truck bed?

    We have been seeing them basically in all the install kits... They are useful for trucks where the sides rails are higher than the header bar but in your case it isn't really doing anything.

    Is the lomax cover only for 3rd gen’s? I think I’d get one of these over the more expensive backflip mx4 for my 2012.

    darn, i knew it was too good to be true. I'm torn between the MX4 and the roll up X4s I believe it is. Ill keep looking into them and message you when I'm ready to buy.

    My Lomax (hard tri-fold) cover came with weather stripping/seal for the end of the bed between the bed and the cab. All of the videos I have watched don't show this portion and the instructions are unclear to me. Does anyone have a instructions on how that is supposed to be installed or a photo of how theirs was installed.

    The weather stripping piece i am referring to is U shaped with the sticky portion on the bottom of the "U".

    Those are included in all the install kits now and are really only for trucks where the bed sides are slightly higher than the front bulkhead. You should need it at all.
