I have an odd question for you guys before I start chopping up my truck.

I have fiberglass bedsides that aren’t perfectly flat. Not a huge arch, but not exactly flat. Initially I was going to get a shell and cut out some of the bed sides and replace with some steel so I had a good spot for the shell. Dumb reason but my dog likes looking out the back the window (access cab) I don’t really want to get a shell.

So here we are a the tonneau covers. I’ve looked at install pics and can’t quite tell. I can see there is a chance I’d have to make some different/longer brackets. No problem. But will the lomax cover bend slightly in an arch at the hinges?

I’ll probably have to build the new rails like I was going to with the shell but figured I’d ask anyway.

Id recommend the urethane. The matte looks like skin. The urethane had a little texture and add impact strength.

 

I have a Lomax Stance on my 2020 OR long boi (6' bed) that @truckalter set me up with a couple years ago. I love it, but it's time for a bit of a recinfiguration of the truck and I'm probably getting a Softopper.

It's the black diamond plate finish. All parts included, but you'll probably have to pick up the rubber seal for the rails new, and you'd need adhesive for the cab roof mounts.

I'm in the Milwaukee area and willing to drive a bit to meet someone, but shipping isn't an option I want to deal with.

Could I get a quote for a cover for a 2024 Tacoma short bed? I see that Lomax looks very good. Previously, on my 2021 Tacoma, I had the Backflip MK4, and I like its durability and how it functions when folding it all the way to the rear window.
Unfortunately, it wasn't very airtight. What can you suggest for this 4th generation? I would appreciate it.

 

Anyone know how well the Lomax handles blowing pollen/dirt? Is it easy to clean off or do the small particles get trapped in the finish? I've seen 303 protectant recommended for cleaning but haven't been able to find an answer on this particular question. Debating between the urethane and the matte black finishes.

The Matte finish is a bit smoother and would likely attract less pollen and dust but either finish will rinse off easily.
