Selling my Flippac camper and just wanted to give the TW community a heads up. Here's the ad in Orange County: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/rvs/5534666914.html These are really rare, so I didn't really know what price to post it at, so I went with $3k. I've seen them for as high as $5k but not much lower than 3.

A little info on the camper: these have been made for a few decades I believe but are about $8k new. They do still make them, even though their website doesn't seem to be very current. I really like the shell over a RTT because you can stand up in the truck bed. It's also a really good camper shell because it's fairly tall. I could walk around in it, crouched, just fine. It takes less than 5 minutes to set up. The pic below shows a tie down strap and some temporary hood struts. I've since replaced them so it doesn't require the strap, just 4 pins inserted into two poles. Weight capacity is more than enough for 2 people. There's also a gear hammock inside (which I don't have great pics of) that can hold a child (up to 100lbs). My dog would sleep up there instead of the bed area.

I don't know what else to say about it. I have a Wildernest now, which is also cool, but does have its downsides. If you're debating the two, feel free to ask me about them.

Here are some pics for the really lazy:
