I originally wanted a DC manual but preferred not settling for a useless bed but different end uses

I like the short bed proportions, but was glad the used truck I found had the long bed. The extra foot makes it nice to haul bicycles standing, tailgate closed.

I always wanted a dcsb, but after looking at the long beds, the dcsb just looks silly. I decided to get the long bed because I got the truck specifically for hauling stuff. I'm very happy with my decision, however, the dclb with an attached hitch is stupid long. Our parking lot at work is very tight and it makes it hard to fit into a parking spot.

I would have preferred long bed but it does not fit in my garage.

For A M/T with a long bed go with THE TRD Sport and then buy the black fender flares and aftermarket off-road shocks and tires.

Long bed for loading and moving/transporting. I haul my motorcycles in their and even though it would work with the tailgate down on a short bed, I prefer the long bed. Looks-wise the long bed looks better too, but that's all subjective from person to person.

I couldn't do with a short bed because I use the bed so much, even though I no longer work construction. It really depends on how much you use the bed, and how much you put in it. If it's gonna be used more as a work truck, I'd get a long bed. If you don't do a lot of hauling, or have a trailer that suits your needs, go for the short bed.

To me DCSB's looked some someone to the Tacoma to the dog breeder and had the rear end lobbed-off. DCLB and Access Cabs seem to look more proportional.

My wife and I are going to be ordering a new 2016 TRDOR DC and are in the air about the LB or SB. I like the LB for the ability to haul more the few times I need to, however I currently have been using a trailer for those few times. My wife would like the SB because she will be the one driving it the most and it wouldn't be as long. Having the SB will allow it to stay in the garage and as I have read it would be better of the off-road trips. What do y'all think?

Still gonna need a trailer for alot of things. Even if you have an 8 foot 3/4 ton.

The DCSB and DCLB are both short beds. Realistically the DCSB is "better" because it has more payload.

I like this idea; maybe I could live without a back seat. Not partial to those black fender flares, so no biggie. Besides the shocks and tires, what else would I be missing? The rear locker? I can't stand that hood scoop, but maybe someone would trade with me...

I prefer the long bed. With the double cab, it looks more proportion IMO. Plus the body line on the cab continues on the long bed. The short bed's lines do not match up with the cab.

Yea I had to have a manual OR DC so short bed it was. I have a trailer to haul my toys so I'm happy with the shortbed so far. Plus a little extra manuverabity when on tight trails is welcomed.

I would of prefer a long bed but got a short bed instead because parking sucks in the city.
