    Hehe.

Truth. These trucks are in no way hard to maneuver. [IMG]

    Ummm ah haaaaaa :notsure:

I drive my truck in cities all the time. Never had an issue in parking garages or parallel parking...

Maybe a little more practice and you would have got the hang of it

I find this exceedingly hard to believe.

I never had any problem parking my DCLB (RIP :() in cities, parking garages, or anywhere for that matter besides compact spots (tried, got asked politely to move by the local Police) I got the SB when I got my new one because I wanted a 6-speed and couldn't give up the DC. I still have plenty of room with my toolbox for firewood, coolers, and other camping gear that doesn't fit in the toolbox or cab. I honestly don't know of maybe a handful of times that I used the 6' bed and couldn't have gotten away with the 5'. Hauling kayaks is the only thing that is harder but it keeps me from having to haul all of them everytime we go now so I dont mind! :D

Long bed if you do fire roads....

But the extra 16" of wheelbase is going hang you up climbing rocks. A-TRAC is the bomb also on the short-bed. Even the DCSB needs high clearance bumper to get additional 6" of rear clearance over the stock hitch hanging up. Yeah i would have liked 1 foot of more bed space but not the extra 4.5' turning radius off road and getting high centered or hitch hung up everywhere.

Once my truck was lifted so much the bed was useless for motorcycle carrying so just got a hitch carrier and I still have my bed free.

    Depends on your use.

Your Long-bed won't get up this either... and especially without A-TRAC but mine just crawled up it

    That's cute.
What's ATAC? And why would you want a double bed short bed?

Dunno. I pictured it as a SB reverse cowgirl on top of another SB. Maybe that's how they procreate?

I have the short bed, and there have been countless times where I have wished I had the long bed. However it definitely pays off in maneuverability, drove the long bed and there is a noticeable difference between the extra foot. Depends on what you are going to use it for, each have their own pros and cons

I simply have already lost count in a few short months of the number of tacoma short bed owners who have looked at my longbed and said "I wish now I would have got the longbed."
My reason initially was simple. I fish. The poles fit in the longbed. No criss cross tangled poles. However, the bed extender and factory cover were also priceless from the beginning. Cover comes off easy and the entire combo gives up great options.
I simply can't imagine giving up the longer bed for any reason. With the bed extender to the longbed on the 2nd week i had it likely saved a couple trips to the landfill.

    Not enough...
Never once I said "I wish I bought a long bed instead". I think they make the truck look too long. Plus long bed would make my garage pretty much unusable. I'd have to pull the truck out every time I wanted to use the work bench and I have a roof rack if I need to transport ladders and such. No regerts!

Long bed all the way. I work out of my truck and need all the room I can get. Yes the short bed manuevers better but mine has taken me everywhere I've wanted to go and I spend over 100 days per year in the field hunting fishing camping ect. Besides short beds look gay

The short bed four door reminds me of one of those Explorer Sport things that Ford made for a couple years. The bed looks unusually short for the rest of the truck.
Besides, you can't carry a washer & dryer or even a bicycle in the short bed without leaving the tailgate open.
