Unfortunately, there was no DCLB available with the Off Road package or I might have purchased it. I thought I would have more use for the Off Road options then the Long Bed. Not sure if reality matched my expectations but it is too late to change my mind now.

I recently did 7 nights in the bed, so the long bed was a no brainer :)

I use to have the offroad access cab. I needed the double cab and couldnt give up the long bed, so I had to go with the sport. I use my bed as a utility very often and couldnt get away with a short bed.

I was on the fence about which one for months before buying, but my wife insisted that if I bought a truck, use it as a truck and get the LB. The first time I hauled anything, it proved to be the right choice.

Aftermarket lockers are easy. Aftermarket long bed mods are pretty difficult.

I got a DCSB 1st gen and a DCLB 2nd gen. I do find my self using the long bed more often than the short one. Seems like eveything is just a tad bit to long for the short bed. But droping the tail gate seems to work to. I thought I was going to regret getting a LB but now I love it.

I would have to wear one of these :anonymous: to drive it.

In all seriousness though I really do like our Forester.

Slept in the bed of my truck a few times. That extra foot really helped.

I went from a 2005 Regular Cab shorty 2.7L to a 2007 Double Cab Long Bed 4.0. The old rig was much more maneuverable and super easy to park. The new DCLB is a bitch to get used to at first, and I've touched my Star Wars Imperial trailer hitch plug on a couple bumpers at the store here and there (no backup camera and a Leer cap too!). You do get used to the extra length, and it comes in WAY handy for trips and general hauling. I don't think I'd go back to a shorty.

Hey guys I own a short bed and I love it , my opinion the short bed has the advantage only because like in the comments easier to park . And if you need the extra room in the bed just buy a bed extender and there you have it extra two feet. but then again that's my opinion.
