Long-bed for me but I fully support short-bed rights.

All pickup trucks use to have an 8 foot bed, now you call 6 feet a long bed and the beds that are less then that, I call a trunk with no lid. I do like the fact that the Taco's bed is a little longer than 6 feet so a step ladder will fit.

Think how much that bed could carry to Goodwill. Lol. I didn't see the ski at first.

If I did it again, I would get a longbed.

I got a short bed because I live in the city and thought parking with a lb would be tough. Ive had two longbed loaners and haven't had any problems in that regard.

I'd like to be able to sleep back there or more reasonably haul a kayak or other shit.

Ideally, an ACLB would be sweet, but DC is a necessity.

I think so too. DCSB wheelbase but LB. The best part is the excuse not to give people rides:thumbsup:

Access cab all the way. Removed the rear seats and put in a platform for the doggo, the cab is perfect for me and the girl and the dog. I'm 6'1" and can sleep in the back if needed.

Shortbed....easier to park, don't haul alot but when I do short bed works fine.

I just brought home a full size sofa last night and my bikes fit fine.

I road and mountain bike. Kayaks are also no biggie.

    Ps...I also don't use a bed extender.

I have a short bed, in all honesty I think the longbed looks better. The short beds kinda remind me of the ford explorer pseudo pick up, which I hate. I bought a short bed cause I don't haul all that much and because in the future (once I have this thing paid off) I want to romp the shit outta it. Shorter wheelbase = better romping. I guess like everyone says, it depends on what you are looking to do with your truck? I wish I could sleep in the back of mine though.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Short bed 'cause in 2012 you couldn't buy a 4x4 double cab long bed offroad. I've still never wished I had the extra 1ft of bed length. You either fit in a shortbed or probably want a serious trailer.

My bikes fit fine also and the tailgate is up so the backup camera still works. Also have a toolbox for storage that stays in the truck when I want to haul the bikes.

No need for a bed extender either.

I have a short bed and didn't even think about this option when I bought mine. A double cab was a essential, and anything that wouldn't fit in the short bed could always go into a trailer.

That being said, if I were to buy a new Tacoma today I would get a long bed. The sole reason is for camping - it would be pretty great sleep in the back and be able to just close up a camper shell.
