    Holy Moly!

I recently put a dresser in mine to take to Salvation Army...laying on its back. You got that dresser standing up with drawers hanging out! The spare tire will keep it in-place. lol

Eventually, I'll want a swing out gate for the spare...when I go BIG on wheels/tires and do a 1-2 inch lift on my Sport. Those rims on your Sport are badass!

    Duuuuuude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That is so awesome!

Love that lil camper trailer...how much does it weigh? Maybe 2K/lbs???

I don't have MotoX bikes but I would either put a cap on my short bed or a bed rack.

    Thanks for the photos.

In Canada, a short bed means paying at least $5000 more for the truck as the short bed is only offered on higher trims; TRD OR, TRD OR/Sport Premium and Pro.

No wonder 90% of the Tacoma I see around here have long beds.

Actually yeah, the picture is deceiving but the dresser drawers had no way of moving all the way out as the spare tire kept in place. Thanks, it's an OR though. I have 35s waiting on an appointment to get mounted and replace my 33s.

Honestly the Long bed looks too long and the short bed looks too short. I ended up getting long bed I can see that at that point a full size makes sense but I did not want domestic and tundra is too much money for me. Plus the Tacoma is narrower...

To me I love the look of a lifted short bed and it fits in my garage , so when when I need more space
    I have a 5x10 trailer with a drop gate .

That must be a local dealer added option for you. I've yet to see a long bed Tacoma come from the factory with a big red circle hovering in front of the rear tire.

What does that red circle thing do actually? :notsure:

I'm a long box fan. It's really just an old school 6' short box.

I did not know that about Toyota not making manual DCLB!

I would also sacrifice long bed for three pedals. Actually I pretty much sacrifice everything to get three pedals. Manual is my non-negotiable.

But to answer the question... I suppose it's SHORT BED for me for the same reasons.

I picked a long box for:

    1. Ease of hauling materials. At the time of purchase my job had me using my bed frequently, so the bigger the bed the better.
    2. Ease of sleeping in it. I'm 6'0" and fit much more comfortably in the long box than the short box, especially at an angle.
    3. I had no need for a Double Cab, so it was the only option to pair with my Access Cab. :D

Toyota made the answer easy for Canadians. Sport only LB, except manual, Off Road only short bed.

For us we knew that a double cab TRD off road premium package was our only must have but were 50/50 on truck bed length. It ultimately came down to which configuration hit the lot at the dealership first, and that ended up being the long bed. No complaints so far

I recently purchased a double cab, short bed. I’m glad I didn’t get the double cab long bed, because I would really have to rearrange my garage to make it fit.

I once had a Tacoma access cab with the long bed and I liked it, but that back seat just won’t work for an adult passenger on a long drive.

Well, it was nice to have a pickup with a 6' bed while carrying a queen size mattress home for a spare bedroom. While it didn't fit perfect in my bed, i had no issues carrying it back there for 100 miles. I think if a had a 5' bed it would hung out too far.

I like the blue. If I could have found a used certified in early '21 in that color, I would have bought it. Another pro of the long bed is hauling 8' lumber or 8-10' kayaks. It's nice to have those things secured inside the bed.

On the flip side, if I were running trails in the mountains mostly I would go the short bed route. I'd be real tempted to yank the bed off and go with a custom built flat bed on the shorty.
