Another nostalgic 7 ft bed, my 88 toy 4x4, built engine, Hi performance clutch, etc. Loved that Truck!

I had a 2014 ACLB and now have 2017 DCSB. I love the MT so DCLB was out of question when I bought the 2017. If I could do it over again I would have stuck with the ACLB. I dont use back seat much but I use the bed all the time. I have AMP bed extender and it works, but it can also get in the way when its folded up and I just want to load the 5ft bed.

Why in the heck do most people call them AC long bed? The AC nowadays ONLY comes as a Long bed`, and once again they are the exact same length as the DCSB

Not upset at all -- just can't believe how many people do not know the basic features of a vehicle they have/will spend 30-45K buying or bought?

I went long bed. I needed to be able to fit spearguns and be secure with a shell. I also wanted the option to sleep, hell you put a decent size cooler in a SB and half the bed is gone.

Long Bed! I will admit though that it looked long and out of place at stock height but the look changes completely with lift and big tires.

i was almost considering an access cab for the long bed, vs a dcsb... i thought the dclb might be too long.

but i bought a dclb. pretty happy with it so far. the double cab and the longbed

Because you can still find some ACSB as a dealer option.

Got the same extender for our Kayaks. Works Well!!! I did use some pool noodle material to go around the metal where the kayaks sit.

I doubt this is true! On new stock trucks. Care to prove it?!

Dude that joke just went wayyy over your head... of course I'm kidding you'd have to chop the chassis and make a short chassis to fit the shorter wheelbase...

Plus if you look closely the truck in the pic is more an ATV with a tacoma shell on it.

Likely the same reason that dealers mis categorize double cabs and access cabs on cars, autotrader etc. I was game for an access cab OR, but is seems like a few double cabs always get lumped in

You need a long bed 100% then. The ONLY benefit of the short bed is the wheelbase for offroading. Otherwise, more bed = way more usefullness.
