Wondering why the from mud flaps on 2013 taco are so damn long. They scrape on the smallest bumps. Is there a better flap out there?

    Thanks

Flap needs to be that long to be effective. Otherwise you'd get stone chips on your rocker panels. You can cut the flaps short and attached a flexible section to avoid scraping.

I trimmed 4in off mine. Box cutter method I found on here. Just cut them straight across, then use the bottom piece for a guide to reshape the sides of flaps. Turned out great and only took about 20 min. Oh and use sandpaper to smooth the edge back to new.

IMO I think they made the truck too low. They should have made it leveled from the factory, and a lot higher.

I replaced mine with husky's and sold the oem's on ebay for more than twice as much.
