Haha yup. That and crawl control which I'm sure you guys heard about.
Won't even use half of what the truck has out here on the Island.

I have used the diff lock these past few weekends on the beach along with multi terrain select on sand mode and dam what a difference in behavior on the truck.

Just read up on this new tint law. Talk about annoying. Anyone with their fronts tinted actually go to an inspection place and were told to have their tints taken off?

it is Not a New Law.... It is a Strategic Push for Enforcing an already existing law..

I dropped off for oil change and NYSI at my local repair shop, called me back saying oil change is done but sorry we can not pass you on NYSI because of the tint so then offered to remove it for me and then inspected it...

It really is a crock of shit... I can go on but fuck it... just wait until they take away our personal driving vehicles and force upon us auto driving wheeled cages

My local shop wouldn't pass any tint on the driver or passenger windows. Mine were matched to the smaller ones in the back so I knew they were illegal. Sucks. I really miss mine to.

Passenger windows should be okay for SUVS and trucks right. Did you have additional tint over the factory?

I hear ya man. Total BS. Makes my blood boil when government over steps. Its the thugs that drive around with tinted windows that ruin it for everyone.

Did they give you a heads up before they inspected?

yes, suv, vans, pick ups, can all have tint on glass behind the front two doors

big brother over stepping is a crime that will hardly go noticed... It is and it isn't the thugs, I just see it as their desire for grabbing money, if it was only just the thugs they would make the law state mandatory roll down all windows when pulled over. At least this is partially how I see it. It is sad that we make rules instead of cracking down on the real problems.

In my cases yes, he told me before running the inspection... If they run the inspection and it failed, technically they are supposed to remove the old sticker If the sticker has already expired.

This new enforcement is going to screw over so many people. I mean shit half my neighborhood has tinted windows. From minivans to sports cars.

Need to find a LEO, guaranteed they know of shops that will pass a tinted auto.

the problem with that is asking a leo to help you break a law is kinda fecked...
and asking a mechanic to break the law while they are the ones really at risk here, the mechanic and the shop liable for a 5k$ fine each...

I do not want to see people circumnavigate the rules, I want to see the rules fixed... I am so pissed seeing society just roll over like a bunch of puppies

Our society is all about band-aiding terminal wounds.

    cuomo is a loser
    deblasio is a loser

they are all a bunch of punk losers, and it keeps going up the vine all the way to the white house...

I'm in an Access Cab. Front driver and passenger can't be tinted.

Yeah they sent out an email blast warning they can't and won't pass any vehicle with illegal tints. They also asked before I brought it in to be inspected.

Supposedly the shop can loose their inspection machine or right to print the stickers if 3 vehicles pop from that location.
It would be hard to prove that the car didn't just put the tints back on after passing though.
My local glass guy is running a deal, $50 to take them off and then $50'to put them back on lol

the shops have the stickers... and they are each scanned before using them, as well the pack of stickers is scanned in before they start the series, the print out is for the customers proof receipt paper work etc.

    That's a deal?

How about I take it off myself and give them 50 for the install. All the places I checked where charging 100 for the install when I got them done in January.

If you didn't claim it already and are interested in it I live in Sag Harbor. I could check it out if you don't feel like making the drive out. Pretty sure I pass this going to work every day

this is a solid price if the tent is in good condition and barely used like the seller states.
if i did not already have one i would be all over this.
