Hey guys, I'm looking to get new tires for my truck and was looking to go from 265/70R16 up to 265/75R16. After searching through some threads, the bigger size should definitely fit especially since my truck sits a little higher since it's a TRD Pro. Anybody go up to this size and notice any significant changes, like a big MPG hit? Also any recommendations on tires? Mainly going to be driving to and from school/work and the most off roading is going to be done on the beach. Right now, I'm looking at KO2s and got a price of $960 mounted and balanced through a buddy of mine. Thanks for any input.

I have 265/75R16's, but i also have 5100's maxed out up front (stock coils). I bought the truck with heavy 285 nankang mud terrains, so for me MPG's improved. They are Hankook Dynapro ATM's P rated (i don't off-road much, except for beaches or dirt trails up north). For me they have been a great tire, I think i have about 25k miles on them. You won't have as aggressive a look (vs an LT tire) but they are almost 10lbs less each tire. I also looked at the Toyo Open Country 2 and the General Grabber AT2, all are good tires. If i remember i paid somewhere around $750 all said and done.

That seems like it would be similar to my use, some light off roading and mainly the beaches. Do you experience any rubbing with 265/75R16? My dad has a 2015 TRD Off Road and my truck is a TRD Pro and it is noticeably higher, haven't measured yet but it seems like about 2 inches higher maybe?

anyone local here with a cap on their short bed who wants or needs a bed platform???

2x wood cross bars that fit right into the grooves cut out in our beds
2x plywood sheets covered in carpet

my asking price would be just the cost of the lumber, everything is already cut down to size properly and wrapped in fabric

make me an offer and come pick it up!!!

Nothing too noticeable if at all. the 285s def did a bit with the wheels turned but good on my current tires.

Thanks! I ended up deciding on Falken Wildpeak AT3W's LT 265/75 R16 and I'm getting it done hopefully by the end of the week. I got a great price on them through a buddy of mine and I'll post up some pics once they're on!

Yes it would. All you need is that foam sealing stuff that'll have stickey tape on it. Mount it to your bed railing and drop the cap on. If you have the foam stuff, ill gladly help you mount the cap. In the driveway. It'll take 10min

Finally went to pick up my new tires today, Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws LT 265/75 R16. So far, they seem great and I'm happy with them. They're very quiet and can't beat it for the price. No rubbing issues either. IMG_4511.jpg IMG_4513.jpg IMG_4514.jpg IMG_4515.jpg IMG_4516.jpg IMG_4517.jpg
