For future reference, has anyone ever wheeled our beaches when there’s snow on the ground? Not sure if that’s a sure fire way to get stuck or a really fun adventure.

Definitely tougher than normal, but lots of fun. The top few inches of the sand essentially thickens up from being mid freeze/thaw.
It's similar to silty mud where it'll conform to the wheel's shape, hindering progress.

Thanks! Be sure to call the beach ahead of time just to confirm they're open. Snow related closings tend to be very random.

anyone here looking to buy some used oem axles??

I still have my original axles sitting around here in boxes and now looking to just sell them off.

I pulled both at the same time around 85k miles, boots are dry cracking and should be replaced but are the indeed the original boots and have yet to fully split open

here is a picture of one of them, the other looks identical, I replaced them with a set from CVJ and just never bothered sending them back in for my core deposits.

There's actually a half decent amount of us out on the beach every weekend. I'm always at Smith Point or Shinnecock- and this year I'll be getting the state pass for Democrat and Sore Thumb.
I'm totally down for a meetup again!

Otherwise if you're ever out and see me, say hello. I always fly the flag behind when I'm on the sand.
