here are the two clamps & stems that I need pressed out....
only one will need to be pressed back in though as one just has too many stripped threads...

reminder to all far and near, before buying used parts always make sure to ask for clear detailed pictures of any and all threaded items.

Actually you just need a plate

You can set up a plate with 3 holes and push that steering stem out by screwing the plate down. But Harbor freight has a cheap press, or just go to a local garage.

Finally gave the 'ol shitbox a little TLC today. Nice wash, vacuum, tuneup, and a coat of Hydrosilex to ward off the rain this week.

    Happy Easter/Passover everyone!

Did a east-end tour today... Hither Hills Park -> Montauk Outer beach -> Smiths Point Outer Beach.
Every mtb at Hither was a fat-tire, they look like a blast, might have to sell my Zaskar.

So I was looking into getting a beach permit. But holy shit they take absolutely all the fun out of being on the beach in the first place.

I’m all about safety and keeping the land the way it is, but it’s probably the strictest rules I’ve seen out of any state I’ve been to. And honestly the small list of places is another drawback for me.

@NYCTaco52 , Meh I really got it for Montauk but I always pack out more than I bring in people are asshats and there's a ton of crap on the beach. Going during the week is definitely better than the weekends.

the beach is great during the off season... you have an entire beach to yourself more often than not.
rules are needed for the many people who disrespect the natural land though sadly
the things like no atvs, and 5mph speed limits and no drinking and no over night camping and open fires, yea all those are all definitely a hinderance but there are plenty of places where one can get out and do those things legally
